A scenario based on a true story, the film tells the story of the Iranian poet Sahel Farzan who was released after 30 years in prison.
Ghobadi blends together the story of Sahel’s past with the present as the poet travels to Istanbul in search of his wife and children who, having been informed of his death 30 years previously, had left the country.
Released after 30 years, the poet Sahel comes to Istanbul to find his wife who, believing him dead, had emigrated to Turkey. The common point which connects the lives of Sahel, his wife and the person who has turned their lives upside down is “Love”.
