Viktor Sergeevich goes to America to visit his daughter and is horrified to discover that although his grandson Paul speaks Russian, he does not understand simple things that are familiar and understandable to every boy in Russia. The merry poor tries to gain a foothold in the United States and “enjoys” all the “joys” of a fictional marriage. Julia, who has settled in the US for a long time, is suddenly looking for a dish that she knows from her grandma. Igor, who recently moved to America, tries in every possible way to deny his Russian past and calls himself Jason. It seems that they are completely different people with completely different problems, but the profiteer Grigory, who is able to solve any problem, proves that it is not. All the main characters suffer from an illness – they try to forget their roots, neglecting the simple truth: you can leave Russia, but you cannot stop being Russian.
