Those who dream of founding a state, have a new dream when that state fails.
1243… It is the start of an interregnum for the Seljuk Empire. The Mongols, in the process of conquering Asia from east to west, decide to march into Anatolia to destroy the last strong sultan standing before the Great Khan. The Seljuks and the Mongols, two of the strongest armies of that period, fight in Kosedag, Sivas.
Konya, the capital of The Seljuks, is now witnessing conflict for the fate of the nation: They will either kneel before the Great Khan and relinquish the independence of the Turkish tribes, or they will secretly embark upon a complete resistance and found a new state. While most of the governors and emirs really desire to serve the Great Khan, one emir, refusing to submit, makes a historic decision with the support of the Ahi Brotherhood. Emir Celaleddin Karatay will fight against the Great Khan with a campaign that he will never expect.
